NMC GROUP SERVICES is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to ensure JCIA policy compliance and maintain medical equipment per manufacturer recommendations. The role involves coordinating PPM, calibration, and breakdown maintenance, plus monitoring spare parts and service contracts.
The candidate will work in shifts, be available for on-call and overtime as required by the employment contract, and assist in purchasing medical equipment and instruments.
Ensures that all JCIA policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
Responsible for maintaining all medical equipment according to Manufacturers recommendations.
Coordinates & performs different medical equipment related works and services. PPM, Calibration & Breakdown maintenance.
Coordinates all departmental requirements and purchase of spare parts. Ensure that the hospital standards and strategies comply with the latest industry practice, safety, environmental and process safety management requirements.
Responsible for spare parts Management & PPM Software.
Responsible for monitoring suppliers maintenance of the equipment under warranty and service contracts
Scrutinizes medical equipment procured and countersign delivery notes as being approved by biomedical department, when necessary.
Responsible to evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of old biomedical equipment.
Assists in the purchase of Medical Equipment & Instruments.
Works in shifts to suit functioning of department.
To be available for ON CALL and overtime work as per employment contract
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent.
