Job summary

Amana Healthcare in Abu Dhabi seeks a Biomedical Technician to support maintenance, installation, calibration, and documentation of medical devices. You will coordinate with biomedical engineers and help desk to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.

The role requires 2–5 years’ experience and a diploma or BSc in electronic or biomedical disciplines, with emphasis on electromechanical systems. On-site work in the UAE is expected.

Qualifications

• Professional/technical training related to electromechanical systems.
• Diploma or BSc in electronic or biomedical discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• General training certificate in electrical or biomedical subject.

Responsibilities

• Supports the biomedical engineers in installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and calibration of medical devices.
• Assemble, repair, test and calibrate general electromechanical and pneumatic equipment as requested.
• Supports the biomedical function in asset validations per the maintenance schedule.
• Shifts medical equipment as per transfer requests.
• Liaises with the biomedical help desk team for technical activities logging and follow-up.
• Supervise and monitor the medical equipment suppliers' activities, such as new installation, T&C, PPM, and CM.
• Retain all records regarding preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
• Participate in maintaining proper stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure the asset register system is maintained up to date.

Reporting to the Manager, Biomedical Engineering, the Biomedical Technician role is responsible for assisting in themaintenance and documentation activities of the biomedical function with respect to the medical equipment of the asset

to ensure that this equipment are functioning in a proper manner in line with the established relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
