Job summary

Atlantis Resorts in Dubai seeks a Carpenter Technician - Joinery Maintenance to uphold wooden fixtures, doors, cabinetry and flooring across guest rooms, public areas and operating spaces.

You will perform preventive and corrective carpentry, fabricate components from site measurements, and coordinate with Engineering to ensure safety, quality and timely completion. Ideal candidates bring joinery and furniture repair experience for hotel maintenance and high finish standards.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in carpentry, joinery or property maintenance.
• Strong carpentry and joinery skills for repair and fabrication.
• Experience repairing hotel furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes and doors.
• Good understanding of furniture restoration and surface finishing.
• Able to install and adjust door hardware accurately.
• Experience with plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers and solid wood materials.
• Confident using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Accurate site measurements and component fabrication.
• High attention to finish quality and visual detail.
• Able to manage multiple maintenance requests with quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and guest-friendly communication.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering and facilities teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for carpentry, joinery and finishing works.
• Inspect guest rooms and areas for damaged wooden fixtures.
• Repair furniture, wardrobes, cabinets, drawers and built-in joinery.
• Maintain and repair doors, frames, skirting and wooden flooring.
• Repair gypsum ceilings where carpentry support is needed.
• Install, adjust and replace hinges, locks, handles and door hardware.
• Restore damaged wood panels, moldings, partitions and access panels.
• Perform sanding, polishing and finishing to restore surfaces.
• Repair laminates, veneers and decorative finishes.
• Fabricate wooden components from site measurements.
• Replace damaged plywood, MDF, laminate, veneer and solid wood.
• Support room refurbishment and renovations across the property.
• Coordinate with Engineering on interfacing work with other trades.
• Respond to service requests and update on progress and completion.
