Job description

We are looking for a candidate that can make a positive impact on our projects’ business in Middle East (UAE, Saudi, Yemen, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, etc.) and Africa (Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, etc.).

The Technical Support

will support the Sales Team across Middle East and Africa in developing the Project’s Channel & Retail through establishing and strengthening relationships with key Stakeholders in Public & Private Sector (including Governmental associations & Public Utilities). The Technical Support will take ownership of specifying our products in Key Public Tenders in Key Markets and handle the whole Bidding process once the Tender is issued (with the coordination of back office in China). The successful candidate will also drive Technical Support Activities across the responsible regions which includes organizing Training/Seminars to customers in different channels. The ideal candidate is an experienced technical expert, with solid experience in the Electrical Market.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provides technical support to the field sales force by bringing deep or specific configuration, converting existing customer requirements to match Himel specifications.
  2. Monitor and initiate certification processes required locally in coordination with the Local sales and China team.
  3. Conduct technical product comparisons between Himel and other brands.
  4. Manage customer complaints and provide feedback to the factory.
  5. Conduct technical training/seminars and similar activities for customers, end users, universities, government offices, etc.
  6. Perform onsite inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and provide recommendations to customers.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Engineering degree.
  • 3-5 years’ technical and/or maintenance management experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret single line and wiring diagrams.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical components like MCB, MCCB, ACB, Contactors, Relays.
  • Engineering background (panel builder, construction, design, field testing, etc.).
  • A wide network of contacts in the Electrical Market.
  • Regional exposure in ME & Africa and a basic understanding of the electrical markets’ requirements.
  • Experience working in leading companies in the Electrical Industry (e.g., SE, ABB, Legrand, Siemens, Chint, LS, EKF, etc.) or for distributors.
