An exciting new role has opened within our Business Unit - Gas in the APAC region - the Technical Supervisor, APAC & MEI. This is an integral role within the business unit and will assist in the control and management of M&R and technical activities in the APAC and Middle East, India region.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support for M&R and Depot Activities in South & South East Asia & East Asia

1. Coordinate and control gas tank container repairs, re-tests & maintenance in conjunction with Regional M&R Manager and Global Technical Supervisor Gas.
2. Verify third-party depot repair estimates.
3. Oversee third-party depot capabilities, facilities, and turnaround times.
4. Follow up on repair quality based on SLAs.
5. Manage administration related to gas tanks in our TMS system.
6. Perform emergency response roles for Gas tank containers.
7. Assist with trans-shipment of tank containers as needed.
8. Assist with damage surveys as required.
9. Control tank container modifications as necessary.

Support for Tank Cleaning and SHEQ Activities

1. Support audit programs (SLA) for degassing stations, repair depots, and trucking suppliers.
2. Conduct spot checks with approved suppliers.
3. Verify additional cleaning costs.
4. Review cleaning procedures periodically, especially for difficult products.

Commercial & Business Development

1. Provide technical support to Gas Business Development teams.
2. Support the Gas commercial team in developing technical solutions in consultation with customers.
3. Manage delivery of customer-required tank modifications or preparations before loading.
4. Assist in developing new equipment according to customer specifications.
5. Install equipment at customer sites for trial discharges and loadings.
6. Train customer operational staff according to Den Hartogh procedures.

Essential Job Requirements

1. Minimum tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of experience in gas tank container maintenance.
3. Good understanding of dangerous goods transport regulations, including IMDG.
4. Experience in sourcing, supplier control, assessing, and auditing is a plus.
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
6. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
7. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
