Job summary

Guildhall is mobilising a senior role in Dubai for a Substructure and Foundation specialist. You will lead technical delivery on-site, review drawings and calculations, and resolve site issues while coordinating with design consultants and construction teams on a major Dubai project.

With 8–12 years in infrastructure, you will own the substructure package from day one on a 2.5 year mandate, extending to further UAE projects as programmes progress.

Qualifications

• 8‑12 years structural or civil engineering on major infrastructure projects.
• Hands‑on substructure and foundation experience: piling, pile caps, rafts, footings.
• Proven personal responsibility for a substructure package during construction.
• Strong drawing review skills: dimensions, reinforcement, levels, constructability.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Working knowledge of ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro or equivalent software.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of the substructure and foundation package on-site.

About the Role

Guildhall is running a search for a large international EPC contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the GCC currently mobilising the foundation and substructure stage of a landmark development in Dubai South This Senior Structural Engineer will lead technical delivery of the substructure package reviewing drawings resolving site-level structural issues and coordinating with design consultants and construction teams The hire comes as the project moves from design into active construction with foundation and piling works starting now It is a senior technical seat with real ownership of a major package from day one on a 2 5 year mandate with scope to extend onto further UAE projects The role Lead technical delivery of the substructure and foundation package on-site Review structural drawings calculations method statements and technical submissions Resolve structural site issues and respond to RFIs and design queries Coordinate with design consultants contractors and multidisciplinary site teams Oversee quality compliance inspections and NCR resolution for structural works
