The Technical & Specification Manager – BAS ME region reports to the Business Head BAS ME. The TSM – ME serves as the key liaison between market/customer needs and various internal functions including sales, product management, marketing, regulatory, technical service, and R&D. This role leads strategic technology and platform-level initiatives through market research, business development, and technical support for BAS Adhesives product lines and customer segments.

The position will be responsible for:

  • Product Management - 30%
  • Business Development - 40%
  • Field Technical Support - 30%

Within the ME region, the TSM-ME manages strategic product lines and drives business growth by executing external and internal activities. The role involves gathering customer and market requirements for global platform development, working closely with sales, R&D, and other teams to understand customer needs, and translating these into actionable plans to grow sales profitably.

The TSM-ME leads regional market strategies and ensures successful execution through collaboration with global and regional teams, with accountability for the success of the products, aiming to sustain and increase revenue, profitability, and market share over time.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Identify and report business opportunities in targeted BAS segments.
  • Drive revenue growth through value selling and technical expertise.
  • Engage with customers and internal teams to define requirements, support product launches, and develop marketing and sales tools.
  • Manage product value and pricing strategies in collaboration with sourcing, finance, and sales teams.
  • Lead new product and technology introduction strategies, coordinating with R&D, sales, and operations for successful launches.
  • Develop roadmaps to address customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with BPM and R&D teams to adapt product lines based on market insights.
  • Support R&D and laboratory projects, conduct testing, and analyze data for technical accuracy.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales teams and customers.
  • Travel as needed to support technical and sales activities, including conferences and trade shows.

The candidate should have a degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business, or related fields, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Strong knowledge of adhesive technologies, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills are essential. Willingness to travel over 50% domestically and internationally is required.

Preferred qualifications include an MBA, knowledge of the adhesives market, and familiarity with H.B. Fuller’s business strategy and portfolio.
