Job Purpose
Manage and monitor the "Power Plants: Engines and APU Reliability Program" for the airline's and third-party aircrafts.
This includes short/long-term maintenance planning, modifications to optimize engine and APU reliability, cost-effective operations, and fleet readiness and safety. Oversee the implementation of maintenance programs from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the aircraft "Power Plants" technical assessment program daily, supporting engineering maintenance activities across various locations, including data collection, performance review, analysis, reporting, and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist the Head of Engineering in developing procedures, specifications, and standards related to the "Propulsion Reliability Program".
- Review relevant publications and regulations, ensuring compliance and optimization of maintenance programs according to operational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Use data and reports for root cause analysis, troubleshooting, trend analysis, and investigations. Recommend corrective measures and modifications, integrating them into the Aircraft Maintenance Program with proper justification.
- Generate reports on power plant reliability, damages, trends, repair scopes, and maintenance plans, coordinating with planning teams.
- Support MCC, manufacturers, and OEMs with troubleshooting, modifications, and necessary actions.
- Review Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, evaluate services, and prepare business cases for approval. Draft Engineering Orders for documentation and coordinate with planning and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on projects, warranties, legal, and finance; develop contracts, SLAs, and conduct evaluations and feasibility studies.
- Manage engine shop visits, monitor process flow, and ensure smooth operations per maintenance policies and contracts.
- Monitor engine oil consumption using data from MIS systems to support ETOPS requirements and control costs.
- Coordinate with finance to settle invoices related to maintenance activities.
- Assist with audit preparations, reviews, and closing of occurrence reports and audit findings.
Qualifications- Bachelor's in Aircraft Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical) or equivalent, or higher diploma/certificate with experience.
- Training on engine and APU systems, preferably Airbus 320.
- Certificates in project management, cost control, compliance, budgeting, and quality assurance are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRO systems, and web tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Work Experience- Minimum 5 years in the aviation industry, including experience with Airbus 320 and engine/APU maintenance and management.
- Knowledge of aircraft airworthiness regulations, especially CAMO requirements.
- Hands-on experience with CFM56/5B engines and APIC/GTCP 131-9A APUs.
- Familiarity with engine shop visit planning and working with engine manufacturers.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance systems, regulations, and quality assurance practices.
