Job Purpose

Develop, manage, and monitor “Systems” for reliability of the assigned Airline and third-party aircrafts. Encompasses short/long term maintenance needs and modifications to optimize and extend the reliability and airworthiness of the aircrafts overall systems, enhance operational dispatch, and ensure fleet readiness and safety as well as compliance with the Airworthiness Directive as issued by the relevant aviation authorities.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • On day-to-day basis to support the engineering maintenance (Line, Hangar, MCC, other CAMO department), this would include performance review, analysis of requests, management reporting, corrective measures, and necessary modifications.
  • Liaison between the airline and external parties such as OEMs and regulatory bodies on matters related to modification, corrective measures and projects.
  • Utilizes data gathered from different sources to conduct technical root-cause analysis and troubleshooting and to decide on aircrafts efficiency and maintenance needs.
  • Analyzes data and technical performance reports to identify trends, highlight findings and suggest solutions and proactive modifications.
  • Identifies corrective measures and modifications to fix any damages or airworthiness findings, recommends AMP inclusions/exclusions along with justification and supporting evidences, as and when required.
  • Reviews technical document review as per TPM section 5, for implementation of modification/repair subject to CAMO management acceptance.
  • Partners with stakeholders such as Projects, Warranty, Legal and Finance in developing new projects and initiatives and in drafting engineering and maintenance related contracts and SLAs, this includes evaluations, feasibility studies, researches, testing, etc.
  • Supports the line manager in developing procedures, specifications, and EOS (Engineering Operational Standards) associated with the CAMO.
  • Provides guidance and support to the MROs when and as needed; communicates to them any changes, mandatory modifications and any necessary information or actions to be taken.
  • Assists in the closure of occurrence reports and audit findings.
  • Participates in function related meetings/conferences and events both internally and externally.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering/ Electro-Mechanical/Aeronautical or equivalent (LAE); alternately a higher diploma or certificate in a relating field from a recognized university or engineering college combined with needed experience and exposure.
  • Project Management, Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and trainings are an added value and some may be treated as conditional for this role.
  • Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft Office and MRO systems.
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
  • Fluent in English Language.
Work Experience

  • 5+ years’ of collective experience in the Aviation industry; On the Job Training (OJT) or post university time spent at an Airline company as a Trainee or in a similar capacity shall be counted for as part of the experience; experience with Airbus 320 family of aircrafts is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in aircrafts airworthiness programs requirements and regulations, such as CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) requirements.
  • Very good understanding of aircrafts planning/maintenance systems and techniques and their relation to the aircraft maintenance program.
  • Familiar with rules and regulations of Civil Aviation Authorities, pertaining to the Engineering Maintenance, policies, procedures, manuals.
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of EASA part 145, part 21 and sub part “M” requirements.
  • Capable of measuring performance against regulations and contracts of extreme technical nature.
  • Hands on designing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures and operating manuals as per business needs and in line with adopted regulations and approved quality standards.
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance /Safety/Internal & External Audit practices affecting maintenance programs.
  • Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem solving and decision making skills.
