Job description

You are a technical specialist with experience in the industry and have a broad expertise in the application of refractory products, preferably in cement, glass, nonferrous, or petrochemical industries. Your excellent cooperation and communication skills enable you to act as an interface between RHI Magnesita and its customers. As a Technical Expert at RHI Magnesita, you will collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, and R&D departments, as well as production plants, with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

In addition, you have:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in technical marketing of refractories or in the application of refractories in industrial environments.
  • Experience in quality management systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, ceramic engineering, materials engineering, or metallurgical engineering.
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel extensively; approximately 40% of work time will be dedicated to visiting customers.

About the job

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the technical marketing of RHI Magnesita products in the region by defining product strategies and implementing targeted actions to improve product performance and maximize profitability within specified timeframes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Resolving customer complaints and coordinating product failure analysis, troubleshooting, and solution implementation to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Presenting and reviewing products, services, and solutions at key customer meetings to gain a competitive edge.
  • Creating technical offers and proposals.
  • Providing technical expertise and detailed application knowledge of customer processes and refractory products to support sales activities.
