Job summary

A leading company in the water treatment industry seeks a Sales Engineer to develop and implement strategic sales plans, and effectively penetrate the desalination markets. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, and have a solid background in chemical sales with at least 5 years of experience. This role entails maintaining relationships with clients, assessing their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance operations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work on multiple projects are essential.

Job description

Develop, implement, and adapt a comprehensive sales plan.

Effectively penetrate the desalination and water treatment markets within the assigned territory.

Analyze customer needs and demonstrate the ROI of customer initiatives.

Maintain and develop existing customer relationships while acquiring new clients to increase revenue.

Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives.

Provide technical support, identify and resolve customer challenges, and escalate issues as necessary.

Perform system analysis, interpret data, and provide written recommendations to optimize customer operations.

Communicate regularly with senior management regarding sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethics and a successful track record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water treatment chemical sales, with knowledge of desalination units, boilers, cooling towers, WWTP, and ETPs.
  • Knowledge of green energy, emerging water treatment technologies, and sustainability solutions is a plus.
