Job summary

ThinkMarkets, a global fintech company, seeks a Product Owner to shape AI-enabled digital products. You will own backlog, define roadmaps and work with stakeholders, developers and QA to translate business needs into clear user stories.

Responsibilities include prioritising backlog, driving features from concept to delivery, leveraging AI tools like Claude to support discovery, and ensuring usability and strong client experience across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years in Product Owner/Technical Business Analyst/Business Analyst or similar technology role.
• Strong experience managing product backlogs, defining user stories and requirements in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good technical understanding of web and mobile apps, APIs, system integrations and databases.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable engineering requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, product and technology teams.
• Experience using data and product insights to support prioritisation and decisions.
• Experience in trading/fintech/financial services, or exposure to AI-enabled products/LLMs would be advantageous.

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team and play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative digital products, with a particular focus on AI-assisted solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams and subject matter experts to translate business needs into clear product requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

You will own and prioritise the product backlog, define product roadmaps and drive products from concept through to delivery, ensuring development remains aligned with business objectives, user needs, technical feasibility and emerging AI capabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and communicate the product vision, roadmap and priorities in line with business and technology objectives.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog, balancing business value, customer needs, technical feasibility and delivery priorities.
• Gather, analyse and translate business and technical requirements into clear user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement and contribute to sprint planning, ensuring requirements are clear and development-ready.
• Leverage AI tools, including Claude and Claude Code, to support product discovery, requirements and documentation, ensuring outputs are appropriately reviewed and validated.
• Partner with technical teams to evaluate solutions and trade-offs across usability, performance, scalability, security and maintainability.
• Own product requirements and documentation throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through development, testing and go-live.
• Maintain a strong focus on client experience and usability throughout product development and delivery.
• Use data, user feedback and performance insights to identify and prioritise opportunities for product improvement.
• Manage multiple product initiatives in parallel, ensuring alignment with wider business priorities and roadmaps.
• Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, providing stakeholders with clear visibility of priorities, progress and upcoming releases.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, including AI and LLM capabilities, and identify relevant opportunities for product innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst or similar product-focused technology role.
• Strong experience managing product backlogs, defining user stories and requirements, and supporting products through the full SDLC within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good technical understanding of web and mobile applications, APIs, system integrations, databases and overall system dependencies.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, product and technology teams.
• Experience using data and product insights to support prioritisation and product decisions.
• Experience within trading, fintech or financial services, or exposure to AI-enabled products and LLMs, would be advantageous.
