Job summary

Archirodon is seeking a highly experienced Civil/Structural Engineer for the Technical Office in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards on EPC/Oil & Gas projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with strong AutoCAD skills and ability to coordinate across Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement and Planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience in Technical Office / Structural Engineering.
• Experience in EPC / Oil & Gas / Construction projects; ADNOC experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, foundations, drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Strong technical coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and other technical documents.

• Ensure structural works comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, approved drawings, applicable international codes, and project requirements.
• Review structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment foundations, platforms, supports, and related structural works.
• Monitor engineering revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings and documents are available for construction.

Job Description

• Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, design calculations, and engineering documents for construction activities.

• Review structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment foundations, platforms, supports, and related structural works.

• Provide technical support during structural steel fabrication and erection, concrete works, foundations, grouting, installation, and related construction activities.
• Review Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material specifications, and technical requirements, and support procurement activities.
• Review shop drawings and fabrication drawings and coordinate with subcontractors and fabricators to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Participate in constructability reviews and provide practical technical solutions to support efficient project execution.
• Coordinate with the Document Control team to maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, revisions, and technical documentation.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing as-built drawings, final documentation, and project handover dossiers.
• Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as required.
• Support the Construction and QA/QC teams in resolving site technical issues, non-conformances, and design-related queries.
