Technical Manager - Marine Automation

Lead and manage technical automation projects with a focus on maritime applications, leveraging a robust technical background in automation systems.

• Expertise in PC-based control and monitoring systems, including troubleshooting and remote maintenance for various automation products, such as boiler control systems and associated field instruments.
• Conduct field service visits onboard vessels, providing hands-on support for automation system installations, troubleshooting, and customizations in line with OEM and job-specific requirements.
• Perform network equipment analysis, configuration, and installation, ensuring seamless system integration.
• Proficient in power management system operations and adept in electrical troubleshooting for a wide range of automation applications.
• Deliver technical support and mentorship to service engineers, enhancing their skills through structured training programs.
• Develop and customize software using PLC and SCADA systems, including mimic panel preparations for system visualization.
• Execute retrofit and upgrade projects for existing automation systems, aligning with customer needs and technical specifications.

Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Electrical or Electronics & Communication.
• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in marine automation systems, with added advantage if knowledgeable in Lyngsoe products.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in marine automation, control systems, and equipment, with the ability to perform installations, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to both hardware and software in automation.
• Skilled in MS Office for technical documentation, project planning, and reporting.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Customer-focused with a commercially savvy, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong team player, capable of thinking creatively to solve complex challenges.
