Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting seeks an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise digital solutions in Abu Dhabi. You will provide hands-on technical leadership to development teams and work with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing applications.

You will govern technical design, code quality, development standards, and mentoring across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring performance, reliability and rapid DevOps automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications and digital platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to teams and ensure adherence to architecture, security, and quality standards.
• Review designs, code, and deliverables for best practices alignment.
• Design and oversee integrations with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, PMs, and stakeholders through the delivery lifecycle.
• Support Agile delivery, sprint planning, estimation, and technical task management.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and guide development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, reliability, and operations readiness.
• Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and releases.
• Mentor engineers, promote knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise digital solutions. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership to development teams, ensure solution quality, and work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and project managers to deliver scalable,

secure, and high-performing applications.

The Technical Lead will be responsible for technical governance, solution design, code quality, development standards, and mentoring developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications and digital platforms.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and ensure adherence to architecture, coding, security, and quality standards.
• Review solution designs, code, and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with best practices.
• Design and oversee integrations with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Project Managers, and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support Agile delivery methodologies, sprint planning, estimation, and technical task management.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance during development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, and release management.
• Mentor and coach developers, promote knowledge sharing, and foster engineering excellence.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guides.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience with modern application development frameworks and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React, and Redux.
• Experience with REST API design and integration, SQL Server, and relational databases.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure Web Apps, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing microservices and enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and secure coding principles.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with TypeScript, automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress, and cloud-native architectures.
• Microsoft Azure certifications or equivalent cloud certifications.
