Job summary

A global energy company based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a HSE Lead and Technical Lead to oversee health, safety, and environmental aspects for Adnoc Onshore. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with at least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas activities. Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are essential. Context & Environment

Abu-Dhabi JVs operate in a sensitive contractual context and in a highly competitive environment.

In addition to the usual prerogatives and duties of a Shareholder, TotalEnergies has been entrusted with the responsibility of Asset Leader.

The position is in a multicultural business landscape of Abu-Dhabi; it is supported by TEP-UAE's Finance, HR, Legal and Planning / Development Teams and is provided dedicated (and permanent) technical assistance by the HQ through a sole cost budget.

HSE Lead
  • Prepare GHG roadmap and HSE section of yearly internal exercise for Adnoc Onshore (Budget, PLT,...)
  • Oversee all HSE related aspects for Adnoc Onshore sharing TotalEnergies relevant best practices with the OPCO
  • Take part in establishing and maintaining the CO2 roadmap designed for the OPCO
  • Ensure availability of the monthly emissions report for the KPI monthly meetings at affiliate level (with contribution of OPCOs HSE lead)
  • Be the CFR focal point for the affiliate ensuring all Environmental and Energy reporting to TEP UAE CODIR, TTE HQ in the corporate reporting System Pl@net (with the contribution of other OPCOs HSE lead)
  • Participate to HSE Committee meetings
  • Promote discussion with Adnoc Onshore with regards to CFR and Energy Efficiency initiatives to ensure data is available
  • Analyse Adnoc Onshore performance and incident, accident report
Technical Lead
  • Support preparation technical dossiers related to ADNOC Onshore's major investment decisions.
  • Coordinates the contracting approval requests submitted by ADNOC Onshore according to the Procurement and Contracts process, in accordance with Delegation of Authority and prepare supporting material to get approval from the Management as per internal governance.
  • Supports the Preparation of ADNOC Onshore data and reports for TotalEnergies Corporate exercises, e.g. PRIME, PDC, Budget and LTP
  • Acts as ADNOC Onshore Audit committee company representative and assists the decision making process of the OPCO board in respect to risk management and internal control, internal and external audit, and compliance including the following
  • Effectiveness of OPCO corporate governance internal control and risk management system

  • Independence, qualification and performance of OPCO's internal audit functions
  • Financial reporting process and the integrity of the financial statements
  • Prepares the technical discussion of TotalEnergies shareholder role in Abu Dhabi for ADNOC Onshore with respect to the main local stakeholders and other shareholders (ADNOC, JODCO, CNPC, BP, GS ENERGY, ZHENHUA OIL).
  • Prepares and attends the OPCO technical committees with VP ADNOC Onshore JV and SVP Onshore Oil Assets.
  • Is responsible to deliver superior value for TotalEnergies from ADNOC Onshore concession, in line with TotalEnergies' Profitability Roadmap. Supports the implementation of the profitability initiatives, as per the allocated responsibilities, and assesses the resulting impacts
Candidate Profile

Young Generalist with some knowledge of various fields of petroleum activities related to onshore operations with possibly a "petroleum architect" sensitivity.

Technical background (chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental field,) with at least 3 years of experience on HSE and Oil & Gas related activities.
