Opportunity:

Louvre Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Technical Events Unit Head who will lead and manage the smooth technical planning, logistical and operational requirements for all the event and function requirements across the Museum.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction the Events Manager, develops the unit's medium and long term event technical plans, schedules, policies and procedures and creates a resources plan, as and when needed.
  • Manages and develops the technical budget, along with the administrative, legal and financial actions for the unit and the Museum's events throughout the year.
  • Reviews event proposals and prepares feasibility reports providing detailed planning, timeframes, funding parameters and resource allocation; and follows up on executing.
  • Reviews the unit's progress and status analytical reports on trends of the event activities and provides advice and recommendations for further actions to the Events Manager.
  • Identifies the requirements to ensure that events operational requirements and safeguards are performed efficiently and cost effectively, including health and safety protocols.
  • Technical lead on high profile internal and partner events for the Museum, ensuring all technical requirements are in place including, but not limited to the museum's permits to work (PTW) and production set ups.
  • Ensures that the events meet required Quality, Safety, Health, Environment (QSHE) and Museum's branding standards.
  • Organizes and chairs regular project update meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders for technical requirements.
  • Contributes towards the creation of an event guide and technical needs procedure manual for the museum.
  • Identifies suitable suppliers and service providers depending on event requirements and liaise with procurement to ensure smooth supplier registration, as and when required.
  • As a brand ambassador the role holder will consider the customer prospective in all projects - working to understand and manage all stakeholders.
  • As a leader the role holder will create learning opportunities by collaboration, transfer of knowledge, or developing employees in the respective area, that drive employee engagement and growth across the Museum.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 8 years + of post graduate experience in event management covering all technical aspects.
  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Stage Management or Technical Theatre or any relevant degree.
