As a Technical Engineer, you will design, develop, implement, and support infrastructure solutions aligned with corporate business and IT strategies, ensuring a balance between service quality and system management requirements. This involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders and taking full responsibility for the solutions and operational availability of production infrastructure.

In This Role You Will

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments and ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical input for Capacity Management, IT Service Continuity, and Availability.
• Identify areas for improvement within the relevant technology area and assist in implementing service improvement programs to enhance capacity, availability, and IT Service Continuity.
• Ensure incidents are resolved within agreed Service Levels and provide workarounds to minimize business impact where applicable.
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support within your technology area.
• Define and analyze problems in line with the Problem Management Process.
• Ensure solutions meet architectural and security standards, minimizing business impact.
• Offer technical consultancy and guidance to teams and act as a technical member in project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in related IT Engineering roles.

Knowledge/Skills

• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and automated private cloud platforms ensuring high availability and performance.
• Experience building API-driven self-service capabilities for infrastructure consumption.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with automation across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of self-service automation and its integration with service management and cloud-native platforms.
• Experience automating backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and IT governance principles.
• Experience designing X-as-a-Service offerings like DBaaS, Compute, Storage, and Network services.
• Knowledge of service catalog development and management for infrastructure and cloud services.
• Experience with self-service, auto-healing, and policy-driven automation.
