Job description

Job Title: Technical Office Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Thorough understanding of engineering standards such as ASME, ASTM, PD5500, API, TEMA & EJMA
  • Skills in conflict resolution, business administration, and management of a business unit

Job Description:

  1. Review project documents, scope of supply, and specifications.
  2. Coordinate with the design department and sub-suppliers to receive drawings.
  3. Check drawings and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement.
  4. Distribute drawings to concerned parties through documents control.
  5. Verify BOMs and Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC) for compliance.
  6. Manage and oversee the work of technical office engineers, CADD operators, and estimators.
  7. Evaluate material supplier quotations and offers.
  8. Review sub-supplier engineering documents for approval.
  9. Check shop drawings, plate cutting layouts, and nesting programs.
  10. Incorporate feedback from projects and clients for design modifications and identify additional works or technical upgrades, managing variations and claims.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain - United Arab Emirates (UAE)
