Job summary

Black & White Engineering is seeking a senior leader to shape the technical direction of high-value MEP projects in Abu Dhabi. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, drive design excellence, and influence client relationships and business growth.

The role combines technical leadership with commercial ownership, requiring robust industry standards knowledge and international codes across projects and sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering within MEP consultancy.
• Proven experience leading complex design projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to link technical delivery to profitability.
• Confidence in client-facing roles and contributing to winning new work.
• Solid understanding of international codes, standards, and design practices.
• Proficiency with industry design tools and engineering software.
• Chartered status (or close to achieving it).

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality design solutions
• Acting as a technical authority, driving innovation, best practice, and engineering standards
• Managing project delivery, ensuring alignment with commercial targets, timelines, and quality expectations
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, while supporting business development efforts
• Overseeing project financials including profitability, invoicing, and performance tracking
• Supporting and contributing to technical forums focused on innovation, tools, and emerging technologies
• Representing the business in client, contractor, and stakeholder engagements
