Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead technically complex MEP projects and build capability across the business. You will guide design and delivery, manage budgets, and drive growth while shaping the team culture.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, oversee high-value projects, and influence strategy and client development in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

Strong leadership to guide multi-disciplinary teams and shape project delivery.
Commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and project profitability.
Confident communicator engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of codes, standards and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of engineers with a high-performance culture.
Act as the technical authority on projects, guiding design and delivery.
Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring client expectations are met on time and within budget.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
Contribute to commercial performance, including fee proposals and project profitability.
Play an active role in the office leadership team and wider business strategy.
Ensure health, safety and compliance standards across the team.
