As a Technical / Design Manager - Landscape, you will lead and manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborating with clients, design consultants, and stakeholders, you will ensure project objectives align with client requirements and expectations.

You will support the Programme Director/Design Director or Senior Project Manager to ensure scope delivery meets AtkinsRealis and client expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to AtkinsRealis processes, forms, and deliverables, and when necessary, client procedures.
  • Assisting in developing scope of services for Lead Design Consultants (LDC).
  • Managing and assisting in the procurement of Design Consultants.
  • Developing and implementing the Design Management Plan (DMP).
  • Creating a design responsibility matrix to clarify roles among the Client, PMC, Design Consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development of the Project Quality Plan.
  • Managing LDC deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Overseeing Design Consultants' activities throughout the project, ensuring quality reviews, policy implementation, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Facilitating communication as the primary contact between the Client and LDC Team.
  • Managing the Design Process, including workshops, stage gate submissions, and approvals.
  • Reviewing deliverables, reports, and drawings for compliance with project and client requirements.
  • Supporting stakeholder invitations, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and presentations.
  • Coordinating with Document Controllers to maintain project information.
  • Assisting in Change Management, including change control processes and client confirmation.
  • Supporting value management during design stages.
  • Identifying and managing risks affecting schedule, budget, quality, and compliance.
  • Monitoring design schedules with Project Controls and LDC.
  • Managing LDC in accordance with BIM requirements, supported by the BIM Manager.
  • Implementing sustainability requirements aligned with project and client standards, supported by LEED expertise.
  • Developing statutory approval workflows and managing technical documentation for tenders.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience as a Design Manager on hospitality projects.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture.
  • LEED accreditation is advantageous.
  • Previous regional experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and be client-facing.
  • Active leadership style.
