As a sub-entity of Al Hamra group, we have a strong foothold in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah for around two decades and have undertaken numerous diverse projects in the areas of hospitality, residential, retail, manufacturing, public services and warehousing.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator / Architect to oversee the coordination, planning, and execution of technical and architectural aspects of projects. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between design, engineering, and implementation teams, ensuring all technical specifications are accurately translated and executed.

The Technical Coordinator / Architect will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities and ensuring alignment between various subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all technical activities and ensure alignment between various subcontractors and suppliers (design, engineering, implementation, QA).
  • Assist in defining technical design and details for the project.
  • Review, validate and supervise the technical drawings and design documents.
  • Liaise with project managers and other departments to monitor project timelines and milestones.
  • Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies of proposed designs or plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational procedures.
  • Support problem-solving during construction/implementation phases.
  • Prepare and deliver regular technical progress reports.
  • Mentor junior staff and support knowledge-sharing across teams.
  • Coordinate with the consultants to get approvals and, if necessary, resolve design issues.
  • Work together with the client to comprehend the project's needs, attend meetings to update them on the project's status, and obtain approvals and comments for submissions.
  • Submit the technical documents (prequalification, material submittals etc) to the consultant and client for approval.
  • Understand the project through the IFC or tender package of the project and raise the RFI’s to the consultant.
  • Study the technical submittals to ensure all the required data is attached and comment if required, for the subcontractor to rectify the document before submitting to the consultants.
  • Coordinating with the site team to ensure all operations on site are carried out smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 8+ years of experience in a technical coordination or architectural role.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp).
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in both design and execution phases of large-scale projects.
