We have an urgent requirement for a Technical Business Analyst in card systems (debit, credit, prepaid) with experience in the Fintech/Banking domain, for one of our banking clients in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We require a Technical Business Analyst with proven experience in debit/credit card systems to support the ongoing debit cards project.

Job Description

The candidate will be accountable for ensuring that all the requirements of the business are captured adequately from the time a business need is identified and to maintain consistency in requirement management throughout the Agile development lifecycle. This role requires an excellent understanding of Fintech work culture and the Open Banking framework, wherein the analyst would be interacting with various FinTechs, understanding the latest trends, and proposing suitable business solutions for onboarding FinTechs for development.

Role Purpose
  • Onboarding Fintechs to provide Open Banking framework and solutions.
  • Supporting documentation of customer-centric business solutions.
  • Participating in requirements gathering workshops with senior stakeholders and documenting business requirements.
  • Understanding end-to-end user journeys and providing business solutions.
  • Learning and understanding organizational platforms to support implementation approaches for customer-facing web applications, middleware integration, and backend system architecture.
  • Supporting the Product Owner in writing effective product backlog items and maintaining prioritized backlogs for multiple products.
  • Assisting senior business analysts and product owners in story refinement.
  • Working closely with product owners and tech leads to agree on MVP prioritization during sprint cycles.
  • Participating in sprint planning, scrum meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Using communication tools like Jira and tracker boards effectively.
  • Encouraging team self-organization and empowerment.
  • Participating in organizational Agile activities and promoting automation processes.
  • Supporting process improvements identified during retrospectives.
Key Accountabilities

Supporting Scrum/Agile methodology by documenting business solutions, facilitating requirements workshops, understanding user journeys, and supporting implementation strategies.

Technical Skills / Competencies
  • Transposing business requirements into system requirements.
  • Proficiency with Jira for creating storyboards, wireframes, epics, and user stories.
  • Understanding Agile techniques and development processes.
  • Understanding business impacts across backend systems.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.

  • Problem-solving skills and solution development.
Key Skills & Experience

1–2+ years of recent experience in banking/card systems (debit, credit, prepaid), with additional professional experience. Experience in card-related domains such as tokenization, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and e-commerce. Familiarity with banking card standards (PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO messaging, etc.) and certification processes. Strong documentation skills and experience coordinating with vendors and regulatory bodies. Skills include fintech, business requirements, and credit.
