Job description

As a Technical Automation Analyst within our GTM & Growth Marketing team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems, events, and integrations that power our growth infrastructure. Reporting to the Growth Strategist, you will set up tracking schemas, implement automation workflows, and connect data pipelines across tools like Segment, Customer.io, Salesforce, and Looker. Your work will directly impact our ability to execute real-time personalization, run scalable experiments, and develop the foundation for AI-driven recommendation engines and next-best-action logic.

Some high-impact responsibilities you will be entrusted with:

  1. Own and implement tracking and attribution systems: Set up event schemas, implement custom tracking across marketing and product surfaces, and configure tools like Segment, GA4, Amplitude, and/or Customer.io. Ensure events are accurately captured, attributed, and flowing into downstream systems for analysis and personalization.
  2. Implement and maintain growth tech stack: Manage and troubleshoot integrations between core systems (CRM, analytics, CDP, email automation, experimentation platforms). Ensure clean data flow, platform sync, and infrastructure readiness for scale.
  3. Enable automation at scale: Develop logic for triggered journeys, multi-channel workflows, and event-based triggers that align with user behavior across the lifecycle. Your work will power real-time personalization and PLG motion.
  4. Support experimentation velocity: Set up and launch A/B and multivariate tests across landing pages, onboarding flows, and emails. Own the technical setup in tools (e.g., Unbounce, Customer.io, multi-channel comms like targeted media ads, WhatsApp, or experimentation platforms), ensure test hygiene, and analyze outcomes to drive iterations.
  5. Drive GTM performance and customer insights analytics: Analyze campaign effectiveness, acquisition funnels, and channel ROI while pulling data directly from Looker, GA4, and marketing platforms to surface actionable customer insights that inform targeting and messaging.
  6. Contribute to recommendation systems (Next Best Action - NBA): Work with the Growth Strategist and Data team to build rules engines and lightweight predictive models that serve dynamic product suggestions, upsell triggers, and lifecycle nudges based on user behavior.
  7. Bridge strategy and systems execution: Translate business goals into technical configurations from building automation rules and data mappings to setting up event triggers, custom fields, and journey logic.

What you will need to have:

  • Experience: 2-4 years in a technical marketing, marketing operations, or automation-focused role, ideally within a B2B SaaS or growth team environment.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency: Proven experience implementing and managing tools like Customer.io, Segment, GA4, Looker, and Salesforce. Comfortable setting up events, data flows, and journey logic. SQL or scripting (e.g., Python, JS) is a strong plus.
  • Execution-led analytics foundation: Ability to connect data to action from configuring event tracking and custom properties to interpreting funnel data, user cohorts, and regression models that inform campaign and product logic.
  • AI-readiness & long-term vision: A forward-thinking mindset that embraces AI as a tool for scalable personalization from next-best-action engines to predictive content delivery and automation triggers.
  • Growth mindset: You are iterative by default, testing, learning, and optimizing constantly. You value small improvements that compound over time.
  • Systems thinking: You design solutions end-to-end, considering dependencies, data structure, and trigger logic across tools and teams.
  • Collaboration: Strong communicator who can partner with marketers, engineers, and product teams. You can bridge technical depth with business clarity.
  • Bias for action: You don’t wait; you build. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively solving challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Attention to detail: Obsessed with clean data, accurate event tracking, and well-documented systems that enable repeatability and trust.
  • Passion: You're energized by the intersection of automation, data, and technology and excited to shape how modern growth infrastructure is built.
