Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem —particularly Azure Fabric (Azure Service Fabric / Azure Integration Services) and Azure Databricks —to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance data and application architectures. This role will work closely with data engineers, Data scientists and business stakeholders to implement enterprise-grade solutions using modern cloud-native frameworks and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design end-to-end cloud-native architectures using Azure Fabric services (Service Fabric, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management).
2. Architect big data pipelines and advanced analytics solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark.
3. Define integration patterns, data flows, microservices, and distributed computing frameworks.
4. Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture standards, security, and compliance requirements.

Implementation & Delivery

1. Lead the technical delivery of projects, guiding development teams on best practices in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
2. Implement high-throughput, low-latency systems optimized for data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
3. Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to integrate ML models into Databricks workflows and pipelines.

Stakeholder Engagement

1. Engage with business and technical stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
2. Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple teams and stakeholders.
3. Conduct technical reviews, PoCs, and design validation workshops.

Governance & Optimization

1. Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring of Azure and Databricks workloads.
2. Define and implement governance models for data and platform usage across environments.
3. Ensure observability and traceability across microservices and data flows.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5+ years in IT with at least 3 years in cloud solution architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ARM/Bicep/Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of data security, RBAC, managed identities, and networking in Azure.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, or Azure Machine Learning.
• Exposure to data governance frameworks like NDMO, DAMA, or Microsoft Purview.
• Experience with public sector or large enterprise-scale data modernization projects.
