Base pay range

We have an urgent requirement for a Technical Architect - Digital experience through Omni channel Microservice design in the banking domain, for one of our banking clients in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Requirements :

• Experience with strong Java / JEE / Spring development frameworks. Must
• Implementation of Microservices, container, and cloud-native application development. Must
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift and related container platform ecosystems. Must
• Experience using Jenkins, SonarQube, GIT, Maven, Gradle. Must
• Expertise in digital experience through Omni channel Microservice design. Must
• Certification in TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or GCP Solution Architect — any one required.

Role Purpose

To work with multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver state-of-the-art digital experiences through resilient, robust, and fast Omni channel Microservice designs.

Key Accountabilities

• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
• Solve high-scope and complex technical problems.
• Influence team objectives and long-term goals.
• Define and improve internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for high-scale web environments, through code reviews.
• Drive innovation and experiment with solutions to complex problems.
• Identify and address technical debt to improve team efficiency.
• Interact with customers and external stakeholders as a team representative.
• Mentor engineers to grow their technical skills and promote team redundancy.
• Ship large features confidently with minimal guidance, collaborating on larger projects.
• Participate in organizational engineering strategy and evaluate new product features in collaboration with the product team.

Technical Skills / Knowledge

Write production-ready, testable, understandable code, with proper documentation. Understand testing approaches, use quality metrics, and employ systematic debugging. Drive monitoring and operational improvements based on organizational philosophy.

Experience

• 10+ years in software development with Java / JEE / Spring frameworks.
• 3+ years designing distributed systems.
• Certifications in TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on with Microservices, container, and cloud-native development.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of static code analysis, testing, security, and automation frameworks like Jenkins, SonarQube, GIT, Maven, Gradle.
• Experience with application servers (Jboss, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Strong Agile experience (Scrum / Kanban).
• Experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB).
• Experience in DevOps environments and principles.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality systems and environments.
