Our consultancy is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable technology solutions focused on customer experience (CX) for a bank based in Sharjah. You will architect both front-end and back-end systems to support and optimize 70 distinct user journeys, setting a benchmark for what good looks like in digital banking. You will play a pivotal role in the bank’s digital transformation, ensuring seamless, secure, and innovative user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and own the target architecture and solution blueprints for all customer-facing and internal banking systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of technology solutions supporting 70 user journeys, focusing on both front-end (CX / UI) and back-end (core banking, integrations) components.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with CX / UI / UX teams to translate customer journey maps into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions.
  • Ensure that user journeys are frictionless, intuitive, and meet the highest standards of digital banking.
  • Set and communicate clear standards for “what good looks like” in digital banking experiences, using industry benchmarks and best practices.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject-matter experts to gather requirements and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, facilitating design reviews and architecture governance.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines, security, and quality standards.
  • Drive proof-of-concepts and validate new technologies or approaches as needed.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and digital banking trends, proactively recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 8–10 years of experience in technical architecture roles, with a strong track record in banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing and implementing both front-end (web / mobile, UI / UX) and back-end (core banking, APIs, integration) systems.
  • Deep understanding of customer experience design principles and the ability to translate user journey requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of modern application architectures (microservices, event-driven, API-first), integration frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements in banking environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects in banking.
  • Familiarity with CX measurement, analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to inspire and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
