Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee critical projects within our organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years of directly related project management experience, coupled with deep technical knowledge and practical experience in SmartPlant.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.

This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while aligning with the strategic goals of the Planning & Strategy :

• Create comprehensive long-term and short-term project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Establish clear targets for project milestones and rigorously track adherence to deadlines.
• Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Define project governance structures and communication plans.

Team Leadership & Delegation :

• Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members based on their skills and expertise.
• Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Manage and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.

Decision Making & Problem Solving :

• Make sound and effective decisions when faced with multiple options for project progression, considering risks, benefits, and potential impact.
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues and challenges, escalating when necessary.
• Implement effective change management processes to address scope changes or unforeseen circumstances.

Stakeholder Management & Communication :

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, ensuring seamless communication and synergy across multiple units working on the same project.
• Communicate effectively and regularly with executives, the board, and other key stakeholders to keep them informed of project status, progress, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Quality Control & Assurance :

• Implement and oversee rigorous quality control measures throughout the project development lifecycle to ensure adherence to expected standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.

Schedule & Budget Management :

• Continuously monitor and adjust project schedules and targets as needs evolve or project financing changes.
• Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered within allocated financial resources.
• Track project expenditures, identify potential cost overruns, and implement corrective actions.

Risk Management :

• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a comprehensive risk register and track the implementation of risk response plans.

Reporting & Documentation :

• Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports, including progress against milestones, budget adherence, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement :

• Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes and areas for improvement, contributing to the organization's project management knowledge base.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in project management.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in engineering and/or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 15 years of directly related experience in project management.
• Minimum of 15 years of deep technical knowledge and practical experience in SmartPlant.
• Proven experience managing complex projects within the Oil and Gas industry is mandatory.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading and successfully delivering multiple SmartPlant projects.

• Technical Proficiency : Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SmartPlant software and its application in Oil and Gas projects.
• Project Management Expertise : Deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).

• Quality Assurance : A strong commitment to quality and a track record of implementing and maintaining quality control processes.

• Proficiency in Project Management Tools : Expertise in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
