As we expand our technology platform, we are looking for a highly capable Tech Lead / Database Architect to drive the technical direction and ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.

As we expand our technology platform, we are looking for a highly capable Tech Lead / Database Architect to drive the technical direction and ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead with strong Database Administration (DBA) expertise to oversee the development, performance, and scalability of our monorepo-based, microservices-driven applications. This role combines leadership in full-stack development (NestJS & PHP) with deep ownership of our data infrastructure (MySQL & MongoDB).

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end design and development of web applications using NestJS, PHP, and microservices architecture
• Architect and maintain a monorepo development structure with efficient CI/CD practices
• Define and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and architectural guidelines
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and provide hands-on technical support
  

Database Architecture & Administration

• Design, maintain, and optimize databases using MySQL and MongoDB
• Ensure database performance, availability, and scalability across environments
• Implement robust backup, recovery, and failover strategies
• Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and data models
• Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues and bottlenecks
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Full-Stack Developer
• Deep proficiency in NestJS (Node.js) and PHP for backend development
• Solid hands-on experience with MySQL and MongoDB administration and optimization
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and monorepo development workflows
• Experience with RESTful APIs, database integration, and containerization (Docker is a plus)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Background in performance monitoring and data security
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React (bonus)
