Job Purpose
Drive the evolution and deployment of Corporate Digital Banking solutions, including API connectivity, Corporate ERP integration, Fintech Collaboration & Integration, and other host-to-host solutions. Digital Banking is a global phenomenon, rapidly transforming Corporate Banking services.
Key Result Areas
- Build and lead the development and delivery of the Corporate Digital Banking technology strategy in collaboration with GTB Product Owners and technology teams.
- Serve as the Technical Owner of the Corporate microservices-based API Banking and Host-to-Host application platform.
- Demonstrate strong understanding and experience in Microservices development and API Banking.
- Possess domain expertise in Corporate Transaction Banking, with hands-on experience in banking applications and platforms, especially within CIBG.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring high-quality delivery of solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide thought leadership on Open Banking, Open Finance, and Embedded Finance in the Middle East, aiming to position the bank as #1 Digital Bank.
- Develop and drive a product vision considering business models and competitive landscape.
- Ensure the appropriateness, support, and stability of all applications related to Corporate Digital Banking.
- Proactively manage business demands and deliver value through technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budgets.
- Influence senior stakeholders on solutions architecture, development, support, and stability.
- Maintain system stability through structured application management, security patches, and root cause analysis.
- Manage a diverse team of onshore and offshore professionals responsible for changes.
- Optimize vendor relationships and offshoring/outsourcing strategies to enhance productivity.
- Oversee quality, cost, and schedule management of technology projects and the Corporate Programme Management function.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Strong application, functional, and architecture knowledge, with experience in delivering change and maintaining stability.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate IT benefits effectively.
- Leadership qualities with strong organizational and team-building skills.
- Program and general management expertise, capable of leading diverse teams.
- Deep knowledge of application development, maintenance, and support.
- Awareness of emerging technologies relevant to banking and finance.
- Experience managing complex banking programs/projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technological trends in banking and financial services.
- Senior stakeholder management skills.
- 15-20 years of experience in Corporate Global Transaction Banking.
- Expertise in Open Banking, product management, and payments.
- Technical skills including Java 8+, Oracle Database, PLSQL, REST and SOAP services, Oracle WebLogic, NodeJS, JQuery, Knockout JS.
- Understanding of industry standards, platforms, and tools to shape technology strategy for Global Transaction Banking.
