Job summary

Velora Aviation is seeking a Team Leader for ramp operations in Abu Dhabi to supervise, motivate, and coordinate daily loading and unloading of aircraft deadload while upholding the highest safety standards.

You will act as the focal point for team members, ensure SOP adherence, promote safety, and report hazards. The role requires clear communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving on busy turnaround days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 3 years airline or airports experience, or 2 years in EASG within Ramp Operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload.
• Act as focal point for team members to ensure smooth turnaround.
• Ensure SOPs are followed to maintain safe operations.
• Promote safety across turnaround activities and report hazards.
• Conduct team briefings and complete relevant reports.
• Check aircraft contact points for damage on arrivals and departures.
• Report hazards and occurrences to management within guidelines.

JOB PURPOSEYou will be responsible for supervising managing and motivating team members on a daily basis during onloading and offloading of aircraft deadload ensuring the highest safety standards at all times.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable person for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload
• As a Team Leader you will be the responsible focal point for all team members empowered to act proactively to ensure smooth collaboration between the teams involved in turnaround activities
• Ensuring that all SOPS are adhered to at all times both by yourself and your team members allowing for a safe and secure operation
• Leads the promotion of safety across aircraft turnaround activities and influences team members to maintain the highest standard of safety throughout the operation ensuring hazards or occurrences are identified and reported immediately
• Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels This will include delivering team briefings and completion of relevant reports
• Responsible person to ensure all aircraft contact points are checked for damage on both arrival and departure reporting any irregularities to the duty manager
• Responsible for reporting all hazards and occurrences to the management team raising GSRs when required and within Corporate guidelines
