Company Description

Masdar is the UAE’s clean energy champion and one of the largest companies of its kind in the world, advancing the development and deployment of renewable energy and green hydrogen technologies to address global sustainability challenges. Established in 2006, Masdar operates in over 40 countries, helping them achieve their clean energy objectives and promote sustainable development. The company is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA). It aims for a renewable energy portfolio capacity of at least 100 gigawatts (GW) and an annual green hydrogen production capacity of up to 1 million tonnes by 2030.

Job Description
  • Contribute to defining and implementing reporting requirements for investee entities and assets in coordination with the GL team, ensuring timely and efficient data collection for group reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information and reports received from the GL team and management accountants, aligned with the GL standards.
  • Identify and explain significant variances in financial data.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing group management reports according to stakeholder requirements, including monthly flash reports, executive reports, management reports, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Analyze financial performance, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to management.
  • Implement changes to reporting and consolidation templates, communicate updates to management accountants, and ensure alignment with top management expectations.
  • Contribute to the ICV exercise in coordination with the procurement department.
  • Coordinate with functional heads on internal financial scorecard metrics to ensure consistency with the corporate scorecard.
  • Conduct review meetings with functional heads to discuss performance, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and business plans, including drafting timetables, coordinating with relevant departments and stakeholders, and ensuring accuracy and alignment for submission and approval.
  • Participate in quarterly re-forecasting processes and handle ad-hoc forecast requests at various organizational levels.
  • Prepare monthly DEVEX reports for key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) is an asset.
Preferred Experience
  • 4-6 years in financial planning and reporting.
  • Experience in group financial planning and reporting within large multinational companies is an asset.
Job-Specific Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a consultative approach.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting systems and tools.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and international auditing standards.
