Job Overview

The Team Lead for the Shared Service Centre (SSC) will oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting for IFZA customers, manage a team of professionals, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and deliver efficient end-to-end customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Implement and develop the SSC strategy, including setup, operation, and growth.
  2. Manage relationships and support customers with their financial packages.
  3. Create and maintain procedure documentation aligned with internal controls to promote operational efficiency.
  4. Mentor and develop team members while ensuring policy compliance.
  5. Review all reporting information for accuracy and compliance with audit standards.
  6. Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and correct application by the team.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and advise team on accounting fundamentals.
  8. Identify service delivery issues proactively and address them.
  9. Support standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the SSC.
  10. Monitor automated activities and ensure continuity of daily tasks.
  11. Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements for customers.
  12. Provide updates and analysis on SSC operations to senior management.
  13. Manage projects and testing as required.
  14. Perform ad hoc tasks to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ accounting experience.
  • 1-2 years’ management experience preferred.
  • Good exposure to IFRS.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and IFRS knowledge.
  • Analytical and process-oriented skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
