Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred; relevant classroom experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom-support role.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Support the class/subject teacher in the delivery of lessons, preparation of materials and organization of classroom resources.
• Provide individual or small-group support to students, including those requiring additional academic, language or behavioural support.
• Assist with classroom management, supervision during lessons, transitions, and break/lunch times as directed.
• Support bilingual communication between the teacher, students and parents (Arabic/English) as needed.
• Assist with the preparation, display and organization of classroom displays, learning materials and equipment.
• Support the teacher with record-keeping, marking of routine work, and administrative tasks as delegated.
• Assist in monitoring student wellbeing, hygiene and safety, particularly for younger learners.
• Support students with special educational needs under the guidance of the classroom teacher and Inclusion team.
• Accompany the class on trips, assemblies, events and other off-classroom activities as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized classroom environment.
