Job summary

Taaleem is seeking a teaching assistant to help provide an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all children under the supervision of the Class Teacher.

The role involves supporting individual and small group work, assisting with classroom activities, recording learning evidence, and communicating with parents to uphold the school's reputation. Strong English and Arabic skills are preferred, with a flexible approach to supporting across classes when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education in English and Maths, degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the class teacher and subject teachers.
• Help groups of children access the curriculum and adapt strategies to facilitate learning.
• Record and present evidence of learning as required.
• Follow programmes of work with individuals and groups towards targets.
• Contribute to the well-being of children in physical, emotional and social aspects.
• Support staff with minor admin tasks during non-contact time.
• Prepare and store general resources required.
• Make notes in IEP books for children as required.
• Give verbal and written feedback to the Class Teacher to support reports and IEPs.
• Accompany children on school trips and follow trip documentation.
• Supervise children during breaks and before/after school if necessary.
• Communicate professionally with parents to support school's image.
