Overview
Nibras International School is looking for a Teaching Assistant and Bus Attendant to join the team in January 2026.

Key Qualities And Skills
- General knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in classroom teaching
- Ability to deal effectively with students and teachers

- Enthusiasm, imagination, energy, adaptability, patience and responsibility
Key Duties Include
- Organize, prepare and pass out project materials, setting up audio equipment and track attendance
- Maintain classroom supplies and help children retrieve materials, clean up workspaces and gather belongings
- Collect and display suitable material for educational displays and decorate classrooms and corridors
- Supervise snack and other related duties
- Assist the classroom teacher and accept all duties assigned in support of teaching and learning
- Perform office assistance tasks such as photocopying, filing, answering the telephone, etc. as required
Bus Attendant
- Monitor students and maintain order on the bus, including the wearing of seatbelts at all times
- Ensure the safety of each student at all times
- Check the attendance of the students registered on the bus before departure and at arrival to school
- Inform the teacher / parent about any absences
- Check Bus mobile for instructions from Transport Manager / Coordinator
- Collects/Drop-off KG1 to G2 students from their classrooms
- Manage student behaviour on the bus while en route to/from the school
- Report behavioural issues to the transport manager
- At drop off of student ensure that the student is handed over to the authorized adult
- Contact parents should the child not be at the collection point
- Conduct checks at the end of every trip and ensure no students or their belongings are left inside the bus
- Help students enter/exit from the school bus from their authorized adult
- Inform transport manager of any safeguarding issues e.g., no authorized adult at collection point
Health and Safety
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct
- Ensure that all necessary health and safety rules and procedures are in the classrooms
- Maintain an awareness of all health and safety measures to be taken when in school
- Ensure all students are seated and belted during their travel in the school bus
- Assist in handing over the student to an authorized adult when dropping them home
Position Requirements
Education: Graduate
Experience: 2 years’ experience working as a teacher assistant
