Position at Al Nibras International Private School LLC

Nibras International School is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant and bus monitor to join the school as soon as possible.

Job Purpose:

All staff in the school share the responsibility to ensure children are safe and properly supervised. Our school is committed to providing enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences to promote maximum progress for every pupil. A teacher assistant supports the classroom teacher by handling tasks that allow the teacher to focus on the learning agenda. They assist with instructional activities, reinforce material, and help organize and coordinate tasks related to their section.

Key qualities and skills:
  • Knowledge of classroom teaching practices, methods, and techniques
  • Effective communication with students and teachers
  • Proficiency in using classroom and instructional equipment
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with teachers, parents, and students

Key duties include:
  • Organize, prepare, and distribute project materials; set up audio equipment; track attendance
  • Maintain classroom supplies; assist children with retrieving materials, cleaning up, and gathering belongings
  • Prepare educational displays and decorate classrooms and corridors
  • Supervise snack and related duties
  • Assist the classroom teacher and support teaching and learning activities
  • Perform office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and answering phones as needed
Health and Safety:
  • Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Implement policies and rules regarding student conduct
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in classrooms
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety measures
  • Ensure students are seated and belted during bus travel
  • Hand over students to authorized adults upon drop-off
Bus attendant duties:
  • Monitor students and maintain order on the bus
  • Ensure student safety at all times
  • Check attendance of registered students
  • Inform teachers or parents of absences
  • Ensure all students leave the bus at the end of each trip
Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma minimum

Experience: 2 years in a relevant role such as a teacher assistant
