Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Primary Class Teacher for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Responsibilities

- Teaching and learning:
- Ability to teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and displays to foster a positive learning environment and support the Mamoura British Academy USP.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons catering to all ability levels.
- Support students with EAL or additional learning needs.
- Motivate students with enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Document children's work and progress following the school's marking and feedback policies.
- Reflect on lessons and student progress, adjusting planning accordingly.
- Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists and psychologists as needed.
- Embed the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes across the curriculum.
- Contribute to school-wide teaching and learning development through sharing best practices and participating in CPD.
- Use technology effectively to deliver innovative lessons.
- Assessment and data:
- Ensure student progress exceeds expectations.
- Use assessment data to inform planning and interventions.
- Provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Participate in termly pupil progress meetings.
- Behavior management and duties:
- Follow behavior policies and promote school values.
- Manage classes effectively, inspiring and motivating pupils.
- Maintain positive relationships with pupils and parents, following procedures for managing behavior.
- Model positive attitudes and behaviors.
- Perform playground and other duties punctually and proactively.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and log concerns appropriately.
- Wider professional responsibilities:
- Participate in curriculum planning, assessment, and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student achievements and well-being.
- Contribute positively to the school community.
- Lead weekly extracurricular activities each term.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum Experience
- Proven success teaching across the primary age range
- Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum
