Job description

Due to our expansion applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward-thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and highly motivated Inclusion Teacher who is passionate about delivery of outstanding provision for students with special educational, additional learning and English language learning needs. The role will provide specialist teaching for individuals and groups of students and will support and work with the Head of Inclusion, the Inclusion Team and class teachers across the school in the planning and delivery of both mainstream and intervention programmes. In addition to supporting class teachers and running group/individual intervention programmes, the role will also require the successful candidate to liaise with parents and external agencies.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Hold a qualification related to SEND
  • Have a successful track record of teaching and supporting students with special educational and additional needs in a mainstream setting
  • Have experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
  • Have experience working with students across the primary phase
  • Have strong knowledge of current practice and developments for students with SEND
  • Have a minimum of two years teaching experience
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Show commitment to the inclusion of all students
