Job Description for Teacher of Business & Economics

Teacher of Business and Economics Key Responsibilities
- Ensure children are safe and well cared for at all times.
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that promote active learning and maximize student progress.
- Communicate effectively and lead the work of others as appropriate.
- Lead CAS activities, participate in staff training, and contribute to the development of the school community.
- Comply with school policies and the Aquila Ways.
- Engage with the school community through newsletters, informal dialogue, reporting, supporting school functions, and contributing to community and marketing activities.
- Participate in performance management processes for self and others.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
- A subject-related degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with UK QTS.
Experience
- At least three years of proven teaching experience in Key Stage 4 and 5 Economics.
- At least three years of proven teaching experience in Key Stage 4 Business Studies.
- Five or more years teaching the National Curriculum for England or IB, including IBDP Economics, GCSE Business Studies, and Financial Literacy.
