  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of curriculum requirements and apply them effectively to Spanish language teaching.
  • Deliver lessons that inspire students and support strong learning outcomes.
  • Work alongside fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Organize classroom provision, learning resources, and displays to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Reflect on lessons delivered, classroom provision, and student progress to identify appropriate adjustments to planning and teaching.
  • Adapt learning approaches according to student progress and educational needs.
  • Liaise flexibly and constructively with teaching colleagues.
  • Work with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and other professionals when required.
  • Embed the school's expected language and attitudes for teaching and learning throughout curriculum delivery.
Teamwork and Collaboration

Develop positive professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and other members of the school community. The Teacher - MFL Spanish will communicate effectively at different levels and work collaboratively with fellow teachers to strengthen lesson planning and curriculum delivery. Assessment and Student Progress

Take responsibility for the progress of students within the class and meet school requirements for assessing and recording student development using Target Tracker. Use assessment information to guide subsequent planning, classroom provision, and appropriate interventions. Monitor student achievement and adjust teaching approaches where necessary to support continued progress. Provide parents and carers with meaningful feedback regarding student achievement and development through Parent Teacher Conferences and other appropriate meetings.

Behaviour Management
  • Follow the school's established behaviour policy.
  • Manage classes effectively using approaches appropriate to student needs.
  • Inspire, motivate, and appropriately challenge pupils.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with students.
  • Exercise appropriate classroom authority and respond decisively when necessary within established school policies.
  • Maintain a learning environment that supports student engagement and positive conduct.
Wider Professional Responsibilities

Participate in curriculum action groups and contribute to planning, assessment, learning resources, and special events associated with the team. Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student achievement and well-being using established school systems and processes, including CPOMS where appropriate. Contribute professionally to the wider work of the school and collaborate with colleagues in support of curriculum and student development priorities.
