Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities:
  1. Creating a climate for learning that is conducive for outstanding practice;
  2. Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives;
  3. Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment;
  4. Identifying SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students and ensuring their needs are met through differentiation;
  5. Providing clear structure and planning for lessons and learning activities that maintain pace, challenge, and engagement;
  6. Making effective use of assessment for learning;
  7. Utilizing performance data and key indicators to inform planning and deliver differentiated lessons;
  8. Using ICT effectively to enhance learning and progress;
  9. Maintaining discipline according to the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and encouraging good practices regarding punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homework;
  10. Assessing how well learning objectives have been achieved and using this to improve teaching and learning;
  11. Marking students' work at least once every two weeks and setting targets for progress in line with the school's Marking Policy;
  12. Assessing and recording students' progress systematically and keeping records; using this data to inform planning and student progress;
  13. Undertaking assessments as required by examination bodies, department, and school procedures;
  14. Preparing and presenting reports to parents;
  15. Attending and supporting parent/student events.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Art with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification;
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS);
  3. Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQTS);
  4. Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language;
  5. Passion for teaching and a commitment to educating the whole child;
  6. A high level of professionalism and concern for children's well-being;
  7. Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities;
  8. Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age, or ethnicity;
  9. A positive, solution-focused attitude towards work;
  10. A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
