Position Overview :

We are hiring on behalf of a leading organization in the UAE seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant – Tax Supervisor to strengthen its finance and compliance function. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the company’s tax affairs, ensuring full compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and Excise Tax regulations. This position plays a pivotal role in managing tax processes, audit support, and contributing to financial policy development.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, Corporate Tax, and Excise Tax returns.
• Monitor and interpret changes in UAE tax legislation and assess business impact.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records for audit readiness.
• Review accounting entries to ensure proper tax treatment and compliance.
• Manage correspondence with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and external auditors.
• Support and coordinate internal and external tax audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely data flow for tax reporting.
• Prepare tax provisions, reconciliations, and related accounting entries.
• Assist in monthly financial closings and reporting where tax is involved.
• Recommend improvements to enhance compliance and reduce risk.
• Contribute to developing and implementing internal tax policies and controls.
• Keep stakeholders informed about relevant tax compliance issues and updates.
• Perform additional duties related to finance and tax as assigned.

Candidate Requirements :

• Master’s degree in Finance or related field.
• Diploma in UAE VAT / Corporate Tax is mandatory.
• CA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in UAE tax (VAT, CIT, Excise).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UAE tax laws.
• Proven experience handling tax audits and regulatory correspondence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for tax analysis and presentations.
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
