Job summary

Ernst & Young AE in Dubai seeks a Senior to support the MENA Tax Quality team. The role will cover project coordination, reporting, communications and implementation across the wider Tax Quality Review program.

You will coordinate meetings, track progress, and prepare dashboards with a focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement. A university degree and 3+ years' experience are expected with strong English and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/University degree.
• Minimum of three years relevant professional experience in compliance, quality review, internal audit, legal, or risk management.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, problem-solving and time-keeping abilities.
• Experience with Power BI or other analytics platforms.

About MENA Tax Quality The Middle East and North Africa MENA regions include 14 countries MENA TQ's primary focus and responsibility is to support our client teams with provision of timely quality advice and guidance to enable them to deliver high quality work manage risk effectively innovate develop business maintain market presence and remain in compliance with regulatory legislative and internal EY requirements continuously and consistently. Another of our priorities is to work closely with Global Tax Quality and other MENA business functions such as Risk Management, General Counsel's Office, Operations, and the wider EY network in delivering and supporting a variety of global and local priorities and initiatives. We support client teams throughout the entire engagement lifecycle as necessary, provide them with tailored training, communicate messages of importance and act as a vital part of consultation network between teams and other business units. In addition to day-to-day and defined TQ responsibilities we get involved in specialized projects, assist with development and updates of policies and guidance as part of global and local efforts and support the MENA Tax and Law practice in the execution of different strategies and developments.

The opportunity

We are seeking an organized proactive and adaptable Senior to support the MENA Tax Quality team. The role will cover project coordination, reporting, communications and implementation across the wider Tax Quality Review program.

Your key responsibilities

• Support TQR planning, scheduling and delivery across MENA
• Coordinate meetings, communications, documentation and system access
• Track progress, findings, remediation and follow-up actions, escalating delays were needed
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports and status updates
• Support post-review reporting, lessons learned, training and continuous improvement
• Support the planning and delivery of projects, communications, training and follow-up activities
• Prepare presentations and dashboards highlighting key themes and improvement opportunities
• Support technology and operational initiatives, including EYI MyDocs and Client Collaboration and maintaining MENA TQ SharePoint site
• Support the wider TQ team in other projects and initiatives

Skills and attributes for success

• You must have Undergraduate University degree
• A minimum of three years relevant professional experience, preferably supporting compliance, quality review, internal audit, legal or risk management functions or programs.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in working with Outlook and all Microsoft Office products, and have the ability to promptly learn to work with new systems and tools, detect issues and able to initiate their resolution.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, problem-solving and time-keeping abilities.
• Previous EA PA experience is a plus.
• An eye for detail and oriented towards continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively partner and collaborate with other functions on various initiatives.
• Able to balance the need to be approachable and supportive with the requirement to be resolute and resilient in challenging situations.
• High degree of flexibility, professionalism and integrity.
• Familiarity with reporting tools and dashboards.
• Basic knowledge of EY quality, risk management, or engagement lifecycle processes.
• Experience working with large datasets and status reporting.
