Gateworth Group, Dubai-based, seeks a Tax Manager to join a centralized finance team. You will own UAE corporate tax, VAT, and cross-border taxation, driving compliance across the group and its private assets.
The role reports to CFO and Financial Controller, offering ownership of filings, calendar management, and liaison with tax authorities. A strong tax background within UAE/GCC and big-fours experience is preferred.
Position Tax MangerOverview Gateworth are currently supporting an investment client based in Dubai who are looking to recruit a Tax Manager to join their dynamic centralised finance team Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and a Financial Controller this role supports a broad range of tax compliance reporting and finance activities across the client s corporate business and portfolio of private assets This role will suit a driven tax professional who is ready to take ownership of every task under their responsibility whilst enjoying being an integral part of a small team
Lead all direct and indirect tax compliance activities across the group including UAE Corporate Tax UAE VAT and coordination of any international tax and reporting obligations Own tax systems processes and internal control frameworks and manage all tax filings reconciliations submissions and correspondence with relevant tax authorities and regulatory bodies Maintain transfer pricing documentation statutory records and tax compliance files ensuring they remain accurate up to date and audit ready and develop a tax and compliance calendar so deadlines filings and registrations are completed on time Identify tax and compliance risks implement mitigating controls and support internal and external audits assessments and reviews while monitoring changes in UAE GCC and international tax legislation and advising management and stakeholders on business impact Partner with finance legal operations and any external advisors to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into business decisions and strategic initiatives Support the implementation and optimisation of the finance systems to strengthen tax reporting compliance and controls Provide ad hoc reporting and support for the finance team key stakeholders and management and contribute broader finance support across the group as required including oversight of certain entities on an ad hoc or ongoing basis
The successful candidate will demonstrate five to eight years' experience in tax, compliance and regulatory reporting, with strong technical knowledge of UAE/GCC Corporate Tax and VAT regulations. Proven experience supporting tax audits, assessments, tax authority enquiries and regulatory correspondence, ideally gained within a Big Four accounting firm and/or a leading tax advisory or consulting practice. Strong proficiency in Microsoft packages (particularly Excel) and in financial systems (ideally Sun Systems or other similar ERP platforms). Experience working across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, including consolidation, would be advantageous. Professional accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CTA) preferred to ensure both in-house expertise and in the support of teams in-place across the existing organizational structure.
