Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Investment Group LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Tax Planning and Compliance professional to lead UAE tax strategies and compliance programs.
The role focuses on VAT, Corporate Tax, transfer pricing, and audit coordination, while ensuring IFRS-compliant reporting and robust tax risk controls.
Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize the organization s taxliabilities Provide strategic tax planning advice to senior management and stakeholders Stay updated on tax legislation and regulatory changes ensuring compliance andoptimizing tax positions Oversee transfer pricing strategies and documentation
Ensure timely compliance and accurate filing of all tax returns eg VAT Corporate Tax ESR UBO AML withholding tax in compliance with UAE other GCC tax laws andregulations Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax audits and inquiries Maintain detailed records and documentation to support tax filings and audits
Prepare and review tax provision calculations for financial statements Ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items in financial statements in accordance withIFRS and other relevant standards Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into overall financialreporting
Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective controls and processes Conduct regular tax risk assessments and implement measures to address identifiedrisks Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures
Provide tax advice and support to various business units and departments within theorganization Assist in structuring business transactions to achieve tax efficiency Support mergers acquisitions and other corporate transactions from a tax perspective
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals providing guidance and developmentopportunities Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the taxteam
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.2–6 years of experience in UAE taxation, preferably with VAT and Corporate Tax.Strong knowledge of UAE VAT Law, Corporate Tax Law, and FTA regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Preferred Certifications:UAE VAT Certification or Diploma in Taxation.ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (preferred).
