Job Overview
The Tax Analyst analyses and interprets tax regulations and prepares required tax reports
so that the group meets its tax obligations and objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute the group’s tax-related activities in accordance with the overall tax strategy to ensure that the group meets its tax obligations and objectives.
- Conduct tax planning, research, compliance activities, tax submissions, reporting and filings, auditing, and communicating with external tax agencies.
- Evaluate the group’s current or proposed tax activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Maintain tax information and records; prepare tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports so that they are submitted accurately and on time.
- Analyse and interpret tax laws and regulations and prepare technical reports on how they impact the organization’s operations.
- Prepare correspondence with external tax agencies and consultants (for example, auditors).
- Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
- Organise and update the company’s tax database.
- Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
- Follow industry trends and track changes related to tax.
- Assisting in financial planning.
- Respond to all queries associate with tax submissions and ensure compliance to all extensions and payments.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision
- making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Position Requirements
Work Experience
- A minimum of 5 Years working experience in related field
- Proven experience in applying accounting concepts as well as tax regulations.
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Preferably CPA, Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar degree
