Job Responsibilities:
- Actively promote business development and networking through phone, email, and in-person meetings while working with a dynamic and expanding group of tanker charter brokers. Foster commercial ties with shipowners, trading houses, and supply chain operators.
- Execute spot charters and deals between industry participants in the tanker sector.
- Monitor market news movements and macroeconomic events to inform business decisions.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with clients.
- Expand the Middle East and Africa regional tanker chartering desk, increasing responsibility and seniority as the desk develops.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English (additional languages are preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience in the tanker markets within a charter brokerage or ship brokerage capacity.
- Existing customer and contact portfolio in the tanker industry.
