Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA in Dubai seeks a dedicated Tailor to ensure high-quality garment alterations and creations that meet our standards for staff uniforms and guest needs.

You will perform repairs and alterations, repair curtains and draperies, maintain daily logs, manage sewing machine maintenance, and coordinate fabric inventories with the Linen Room Supervisor.

The role emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to environmental, health and safety policies in the tailoring area.

• Perform minor repairs and alterations to colleagues’ uniforms, ensuring a polished and professional appearance for all staff members.
• Repair and adjust curtains and draperies in the Hotel to uphold upholstery standards.
• Maintain a daily log report detailing all repairs and alteration work carried out.
• Manage and report maintenance needs for sewing machines, communicate sewing supplies requirements to the Linen Room Supervisor, and uphold cleanliness and orderliness in the tailoring area.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of fabrics and materials in stock within the Hotel.
• Address small alterations for Guest clothing, such as button replacements, as requested by the laundry.
• Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with organizational policies.
• Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
